Trekkers hires new development assistant
Thomaston — Trekkers, an outdoor-based youth mentoring organization, welcomes Alaina Ennamorati as its new development assistant.
Ennamorati grew up in Waldoboro and served at Trekkers as an AmeriCorps member from September 2012 to August 2013.
Ennamorati is a graduate of Northeastern University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in Spanish. She also has a master's degree in intercultural service, leadership and management from the SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vt.
As an AmeriCorps member, Ennamorati was a program coordinator at Trekkers, where she took on many administrative tasks as well as ran the Big Trek/Little Trek afterschool mentoring program. Ennamorati also supported staff with educational expedition planning and was a leader on 10 expeditions ranging from three to 14 days across Maine and the continental United States.
“I had such a rewarding experience at Trekkers during my AmeriCorps term. I am truly excited to be returning to the organization and stepping into a new role in development,” said Ennamorati in a news release.
As development assistant, Ennamorati will focus her energy on organizing student and organizational fundraisers. She will also work on marketing and social media communications for Trekkers, as well as coordinating event volunteers.
