Jeter

Our pet picks of the week are Jeter and Chalice. Jeter is a 6-year-old Lab/Rottweiler mix. He is a sweet, goofy guy who likes attention. He would like to be your constant companion. Jeter is fine with kids and with some dogs, after a proper introduction. As a devoted member of the family, he has the desire to be protector of his home and family. Jeter is neutered and all up to date on his vaccinations and is ready to go home.

Chalice is waiting for you at the Salty Dog Salon on Old County Road in Rockland, one of our fabulous satellite adoption locations. She is a beautiful, 4-year-old Tortoiseshell feline. She is a super sweet and loving cat and is the ideal family pet, friendly with kids, other cats and even well behaved dogs.

Tired of the cold and the snow? Come to our Tropical Getaway on Saturday, March 22, from 5 to 9 p.m., at the Post One American Legion, Rockland. Bring your lei or grass skirt and that warm, happy, tropical party attitude! Invite your friends and dance to the sounds of Steelin’ Thunder, that awesome steel drum band that will transport you to the beaches of Trinidad and Tobago. Enjoy goodies galore, try your luck in the 50/50 raffle, and have a great evening. There will be a cash bar. Your ticket to paradise is only $8, on sale at the door. The American Legion is located at 335 Limerock St. in Rockland. All proceeds will help us care for the animals here at the shelter.

Join us Sunday, March 23 at the Craignair Inn in Spruce Head for a benefit brunch with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the shelter. The brunch starts at 11 a.m. Tickets are $15.
