UPDATE: Changed to 1 p.m.

Time change for Polar Plunge

Feb 27, 2013

Rockland — Oceanside High School’s Class of 2013 has two upcoming fundraisers for its Project Graduation event, one of which was postponed by the early-February blizzard.

The annual Polar Plunge, originally scheduled for Feb. 8, is set for Saturday, March 2, at 1 p.m. off the ramp at Snow Marine Park, Mechanic Street. Students, staff and supporters will brave the chilly water to collect pledges that will go towards the seniors’ chem-free celebration. Participants need to be checked in by 12:30 p.m. NOTE: THIS EVENT WAS ORIGINALLY ANNOUNCED AS 2 P.M.

On Wednesday, March 13, at 7 p.m., comedian Bob Marley will perform a benefit show at Oceanside High School East, 400 Broadway. New England’s king of comedy uses biographical and observational material for his high-energy routines. Tickets are $15, available at Oceanside East and West (Thomaston); Harborside Market & Gardens in Tenants Harbor; Planet Toys in Rockland; and Thomaston Grocery.
