Rockport — Ever wonder what lives in a tidal pool, clings to the rocky shore, or burrows in the sand at the beach?

Join Lily Glynos from the Herring Gut Learning Center in Port Clyde Wednesday, July 16, from 1 to 2:30 p.m for an exploration of the common tide pool animals found in the Gulf of Maine.Visitors  will see and touch everything from sea stars to green crabs and explore how these animals have adapted to live in the oceans.

Herring Gut Learning Center is a nonprofit marine science and aquaculture education center in Port Clyde that fosters the economic, social, and environmental resilience of coastal communities through student and public educational programs and partnerships that focus on marine resources.
