Tickets available for Camden High School Alumni Banquet
Northport — The 109th Camden High School Alumni Banquet will be held Friday, Aug. 8 in the Islesboro Ballroom at the Point Lookout Resort at 67 Atlantic Highway.
The evening events will begin at 4 p.m. with a social hour and silent auction. The cash bar will be open from 4 to 8 p.m.
The silent auction will be open through the end of the meal with many great items donated by local businesses and alumni. Proceeds from the silent auction help defray banquet expenses. Anyone wishing to donate something of value to the auction, please contact David Ames. All donations will be greatly appreciated. Leis will be on sale for $5 again this year for the popular "Heads and Tails" game. There will be two winners, each receiving six bottles of wine. Proceeds from the "Heads and Tails" game help support the Scholarship Fund. Musical entertainment this year will be background music by Sybil Clement Wentworth on the keyboard.
Elevated Reserved signs will be on tables for the reunion classes of 1944. 1949, 1954, 1959 and 1964.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and will include soup du jour, soft rolls, chicken breast with asparagus and tomato bruschetta, baked haddock piccatta, mashed potatoes, salad, fresh garden vegetables and lemon cream cake, as well as coffee and tea.
A short business meeting will follow the meal, during which reunion classes and committee members will be recognized, plus two Special Recognition awards will be made. CHS alumni who have passed away in the last year will be remembered. Winners of last year's scholarships, awarded to Camden Hills Regional High School graduates, are invited, with one guest, to attend the banquet and give a brief statement summarizing their first year college experience.
Tickets will be available starting June 23. The price remains $30 per person and obtain tickets by sending a check, payable to CHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, to Sheila McFarland, 448 Youngtown Road, Lincolnville, ME 04849. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope so Sheila can mail the tickets, plus include a brief informational sheet stating year of graduation, maiden name, spouse/guest name, etc..
The cut-off date for ticket sales is Aug. 1. Tickets will not be available at the door.
