Megan Kelley is the local field epidemiologist for the Maine CDC, Infectious Disease Epidemiology Program. She will discuss tick-borne illnesses Aug. 27 in Rockport.

Rockport — Megan Kelley, the local field epidemiologist for the Maine Centers for Disease Control, will discuss tick-borne illnesses at a Wednesday, Aug. 27 talk at Rockport Public Library.

The talk begins at 6:30 p.m.

Kelley will talk about Lyme disease and other tick-borne illness. As well as what people can do to protect themselves and their families from these nasty little bugs. She will educate participants on the identification of different kinds of ticks and the early warning signs of Lyme disease. Summer may be near its end but tick season can last long into the fall.
