Three seek two City Council seats
Rockland — Voters will have the choice between three people for a pair of seats on the City Council.
Larry R. Pritchett, Harold G. Perry and Louise MacLellan-Ruf will appear on the Nov. 5 ballot. The two seats are each for three years.
Pritchett is running for reelection. Perry was elected in 2005 and served one term on the Rockland City Council. He was elected mayor by his fellow councilors in 2007. MacLellan-Ruf has served on the city's Harbor Management Commission.
The deadline to turn in nomination papers was Sept. 23.
Voters will also see a contested race for two, three-year terms on the Regional School Unit 13 Board of Directors.
Current board members William M. Pearce and Donald P. Robishaw Jr. are seeking reelection and are being challenged by Steven R. Roberts.
Howard Edwards Jr. and Daniel M. McNichol are both seeking a pair of seats on the Port District Board. The terms are for five years.
Also up for election this year are the one-year election warden seat held by Teisha Jones and the one-year vacant ward clerk seat. No one filed nomination papers to be considered for the posts.
The election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5.
