Thomaston — The Thomaston Police Department responded to 60 complaints and conducted 20 traffic stops between April 1 and 7. Police arrested or cited the following individuals:

Grady McGowen, 31, of Lincolnville, was summoned for failure to have proof of insurance.

Jamie Geretz, 40, of Thomaston, was summoned for speeding.

Cathleen Dorr, 52, of Rockland, was summoned for failure to have proof of insurance.

Jacqueline Harjula, 73, of Thomaston, was summoned for speeding.

Jessica Johnson, 23, of Cushing, was summoned for expired inspection and failure to have proof of insurance.

Kenneth Schneider, 50, of Searsport, was summoned for operating after suspension.

Steven Woodbury, 50, of Thomaston, was arrested for domestic assault, criminal threatening and criminal mischief.

Thomaston Police also responded to complaints including disorderly conduct, medical calls, informational complaints, motor vehicle crashes, well-being checks, alarms and theft.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

Times are hard and I see "Failure for proof of insurance".   I do sympathize with these drivers. If one does not drive one cannot work!  A catch twenty two for sure.
