Thomaston Masons honor Daggett

Thomaston — On Jan. 5, the Orient Lodge of Masons in Thomaston along with the Grand Master of Masons in Maine, A. James Ross, honored William "Bill" Daggett of Thomaston on his 70-year membership in Masons.

Daggett was made an honorary Grand Sword Bearer by the Grand Master in a visit at his Thomaston home.

Attending this event were: W. Ronald S. Gamage; MW A. James Ross, Grand Master of Masons in Maine; W. William Daggett; W. George Mele. Master of Orient Lodge and RW Alfred Butler.

Daggett is a young, active 101 years old and was Master of Orient Lodge of Masons in 1942.

Nice to see my old West Meadow Road neighbor and  Sunday newspaper customer Mr. Alfred Butler.
