The Speakeasy opens with Jump City Jazz
Rockland — Everyone is invited to listen and dance to the swingin' sounds of Brian Catell and The Jump City Jazz Band during the grand opening party of The Speakeasy, the newly renovated nightclub located below The Chowder House at the corner of Park Drive and Main Street, Friday evening, Nov. 1.
The Speakeasy will be open Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30 p.m. to last call at 11 p.m. Most Saturdays will feature live entertainment. Period costumes are encouraged for the Grand Opening; there will be prizes for the best Bonnie and Clyde, the best Zoot Suit and the Best Flapper. There also will be a short dance performance and a dance contest judged by members of the Rockport Dance Conservatory.
