The Muellers will perform Saturday night, Jan. 4, at the First Congregational Church of Camden.

Camden — The Friends of Music Concert Series, an outreach program of the First Congregational Church of Camden, will welcome The Muellers for a concert Saturday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church, 55 Elm St./Route 1.

The Muellers are a Maine-based family bluegrass band that has toured nationally and recorded and produced four albums. After a nearly two-year hiatus, they are reuniting this January for their first shows since 2011. To celebrate their reunion, they will be playing a variety of favorite songs from their albums, with a few new surprises and audience favorites thrown into the mix.

Tom Mueller, guitar and vocals, served as Director of Music for the First Congregational Church of Camden from 2009 to 2011. His is completing his doctorate in organ at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y. A reception will follow the concert in the church’s Pilgrim Room with light refreshments and an opportunity to catch up with the Mueller family.

As always, each Friends of Music concert is free and open to the public, although donations to sustain the program are cheerfully accepted at the door. For more information, call 236-4821.
