The mission of the Maine Lighthouse Museum is to educate the public regarding the long standing traditions, heroism and progress of America's Lighthouse and Lifesaving services and the United States Coast Guard through the conservation and interpretation of the nation's most significant collection of lighthouse and lifesaving artifacts. The Maine Lighthouse Museum is located in Rockland, Maine, the heart of the Midcoast. From sparkling lenses to heartwarming stories of the keepers and their families, the Maine Lighthouse Museum is truly America's lighthouse museum.

We are graciously asking that businesses and individuals consider making a pledge of support to the museum. A pledge may be a one-time gift, or the gift can be scheduled to be paid out over a period of time. Informational packets are available to interested organizations and people who would like to gain a more in-depth understanding of the hard work and achievements that have occurred at MLM. We truly are "America's Lighthouse Destination," and we need the financial support of many, both locally and nationally, to remain the caretakers of the largest and most significant public collection of lighthouse artifacts in the United States. A pledge form can be downloaded on the website, and Dot Black, Interim Director, would be happy to answer any questions regarding how your contributed funds will be put to work. As a non-profit, any and all contributions to the Maine Lighthouse Museum are tax-deductible charitable contributions.

You may donate, join the museum and/or make a pledge online on our website at www.mainelighthousemuseum.org  For more information you may call Museum Director Dot Black at 207 975-9690 or Call the museum at 207 594-3301 and leave a message.

The museum is currently closed for our winter break but will re-open on March 1, 2014. The members of the Board of Directors and Staff wish everyone a Safe, Healthy & Happy New Year!
