Maine author and Editor Emeritus of Down East: The Magazine of Maine, Paul Doiron, will be our guest this Tuesday at 11 am. He'll introduce his newest book, The Bone Orchard, fifth in the award-winning, best selling "Mike Bowditch" mystery crime novel series, which began with best seller,The Poacher's Son. Each book finds Mike (a young, clever but fallible, independent Maine game warden), one year older than the last, an unusual premise as most crime novels' heroes are generally well established in their middle, often bitter years. Doiron's approach creates a fully relatable character as he deals with real issues such as PTSD among returning war veterans, environmental and socio-economic policies and ensuing police conflicts, in the deep northern Maine woods, the setting for the book and where the author, himself a registered Maine Guide, loves to go. Meet Paul Doiron who will gladly talk with you and sign copies of his books which are all available at the Maine Coast Book shop in Damariscotta. Unable to attend? We will reserve a signed copy for you to pick up at your convenience, or we can ship. FMI call 207-563-3207.
