Rockland — The Monday Night Blues series goes local with The Juke Rockets of Belfast Monday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Admission is $10 for the show, which is a fundraiser for the Jukes’ Road to Memphis trip.

In May, the Midcoast blues band out-performed six other musical acts from across the state to win the title of the best blues band in Maine. The Maine Blues Society hosts the Road to Memphis competition annually and as the 2012 winner, the Juke Rockets will go on to compete for the national title in Memphis, Tenn., in January.

The annual Blues Year’s Eve Party with Eddie Shaw and the Wolf Gang will wrap up the weekly series for 2012 on Dec. 3 ($15). For more information, visit the Time Out Pub Blues link at northatlanticbluesfestival.com. The annual New Year’s Eve Blues Party Thursday, Dec. 31 will feature blues rocker Bobby Messano and his band at the Trade Winds Motor Inn on Park Drive. The festivities begin 7 p.m. with a four-course dinner. Cost is $199 plus tax per couple and includes room, dinner, dance, party favors, champagne toast, use of the pool and hot tub and full breakfast buffet. Space is limited; to reserve, call Paul Benjamin at 596-6055.
