Rockport — Everyone is invited to dig deep into their closets for their old shoulder pads and neon clothes and head over to The Awesome '80s Dance Party featuring live music by The Awesome, the popular 1980s cover band from Portland, Saturday, March 23, from 7 to 10 p.m.

This dance event is just what those who have been longing to wear rubber bangles like Madonna or push up the sleeves on their cool pastel jackets like Crockett and Tubbs are craving. Whatever one’s guilty ‘80s pleasure — Flock of Seagulls, anyone? — this is the chance to live it for one, like, totally awesome night. There will be a cash bar and free snacks.

Tickets are $35 and are available at the Children's House Montessori School, 58 Elm St./Route 1, or at HAV II, both in Camden. All proceeds benefit the Children's House Montessori School. For more information, call 236-2911.
