Thomaston — Thomaston Public Library is displaying the work of Valerie Allis during the month of February. Allis fashions one-of-a-kind jewelry from sea glass and pottery shards collected from beaches in Maine and California.

On display are many different colors and sizes of glass and shards that have been fashioned into pendants and necklaces. The display includes a key to the various sea glass colors and the relative frequency — or infrequency — with which they may be found.
