The 12 Strays of Christmas: #2 Allen
Mostly, people pass me by. I rub against my cage, and sometimes stick out my paw to get the attention of the moms and dads and kids looking for a cat, but when they see that I’m a senior guy, they move on. I’m really pretty spunky if you take the time to see. I love to talk. The director here at the shelter lets me stay in her office sometimes, and I’ve shown that I have perfect house manners. I have a little thyroid problem, but I just need a special food and everything’s fine. I’d just like a warm little bed, a lap and a bit of conversation – at your house. Come and visit the shelter – and stop when you get to my cage.
The 12 Strays of Christmas are very special residents at the Knox County Humane Society, who have been overlooked at the shelter and have been there far too long. They would all really like to go home for the holidays – and all the upcoming holidays for the rest of their lives! Adoption fees for these pets are only 12.00 for cats, and the fee for dogs has been reduced by 50.00. All animals have been spayed or neutered, are up to date on their shots and have had all medical issues addressed. They are healthy and ready to go! The promotion extends through December 24th. Please drop by for a visit, or call the Humane Society of Knox County at 594-2200, or go to www.hskcME.org. Let’s get these boys and girls home for Christmas!
