Rockport — On Saturday, Jan. 5, Midcoast Recreation Center in Rockport hosted the Pen Bay Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament.

Sixteen teams raised nearly $1,000 to benefit Knox County’s Let’s Go! 5-2-1-0 program. The tournament winners were Eric Belley and Bonny Gochenauer, and Matt Smith won a one-week vacation at Sugarloaf Mountain in the raffle drawing.

Many thanks to Maine Sport Outfitters for the donated tennis balls and to Midcoast Recreation Center for their generous donation of tennis court time.

Let’s Go! 5-2-1-0 is a childhood obesity prevention program that encourages healthy eating and active living for youth and families where they work, live and play. The program uses a common message of “5-2-1-0”: five or more fruits and vegetables, two hours or less recreational screen time, one hour or more of physical activity, no sugary drinks, more water and low fat milk.
