Supernatural September begins
Rockport — Supernatural September begins with a book talk and presentation of “Haunted Fort, the Spooky Side of Maine’s Fort Knox” by local author Liza Gardner Walsh Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at Rockport Public Library, 1 Limerock St.
Walsh will discuss how she had the opportunity to spend several evenings locked in the fort with the East Coast Ghost Trackers, as well as interviewing fort staff and getting the full scoop on things that go bump in the night in preparation for her book “Haunted Fort.” She also explored the fascinating history and development of Fort Knox, located on the Penobscot River. “Haunted Fort,” published by Down East Books, also offers a fun look at how the fort makes the most of its eerie attention by hosting an annual Fright at the Fort in October.
Walsh has worked as a children’s librarian at the Rockport Public Library, high school English teacher, writing tutor and museum educator; and she holds an MFA in Writing from Vermont College. She lives with her family in Camden.
Supernatural September will continue with additional author talks and programs. For more information, call the library at 236-3642.
