Super Bowl on the silver screen

Beyonce will play the Super Bowl XLVII half-time show.

Rockland — The Strand Theatre, 345 Main St., will hosts its annual free Super Bowl broadcast Sunday, Feb. 3. Doors will open to the public at 6 p.m. so fans are ready for the 6:25 p.m. kick-off between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens, live from New Orleans.

Although the New England Patriots are out of the running, this is sure to be an epic, bi-coastal clash of the titans. Strand football fans are welcome to come for all or part of the game. The half-time show will feature Beyonce with Destiny's Child.

The Strand bar will be open and lots of Super Bowl snacks will be available at the concession stand. For more information about all Strand Theatre films, live music and performance events and HD broadcasts, visit rocklandstrand.com; call 594-0070; or send email to info@rocklandstrand.com.
