Summer ends with ‘Rock Paper Scissors’
Camden — “Rock Paper Scissors” will open with a 5 to 7 p.m. reception Friday, Sept. 7 at Old Salts Gallery, at the corner of Mechanic and Washington streets.
This show will celebrate the end of the summer season with featured ceramic artists Randy Fein and Alison Eads, photographer JP Fecteau and Down East cartoonist David Jacobson. Works of art on paper include panels with handmade paper by the well-known artist Christine Higgins. Her most recent work focuses on recycling fibers from a local organic farm’s products, accompanied by poetry inscribed on the fiber maps by the CSA farmer, Craig Hickman of Annabessacook Farm.
Dina Petrillo of Belfast; David Cadbury of Rockport; Beth McKinney of Rockland; and Joan Siem, Debra Thuss and Penny Gentle, all of Camden, round out the show.
“Rock Paper Scissors” will run through Sept. 27. Old Salts Gallery hours are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is underwritten by the law firm of Markham and Read. For more information, send email to penny@oldsaltsgallery.com.
