Sullivan’s sunrises at Good Tern

Photo by: Tim Sullivan Tim Sullivan’s “Rockland Harbor Sunrise” is among his photography-on-canvas prints at Rockland’s Good Tern Natural Foods Co-op.

Rockland — Sunrise photographs by Tim Sullivan of Rockland are on view through Jan. 4 in the Cafe Gallery of the Good Tern Natural Foods Co-op, 750 Main St. There will be a reception with wine tasting and live music Thursday, Dec. 19, from 3 to 5 p.m.

Twenty years ago, Sullivan thought he wanted to be a photographer, playing with light and color, but the processing, the chemicals, getting everything right was beyond what he could — and wanted — to do at the time. Now, the quality and digital processing of photos almost match what one can do with a film camera, and Sullivan is enjoying the learning of the art.

The images in this exhibition are printed on canvas. Sullivan’s work also can be seen on his Tim Sullivan Photography Facebook page. The Good Tern is open Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 594-8822.
