Substance Use and Mental Health Services – What’s Available in Knox County?

By Connie Putnam | Mar 17, 2017

Are you looking for substance use and/or mental health services in Knox County? Confused about what’s out there, which agencies provide services or how to connect with them?

Join Knox County Community Health Coalition (KCCHC) on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Rockland City Council Chambers, 270 Pleasant Street, to hear representatives from agencies and organizations in our community give an overview of the substance use and mental health services they provide.

“This meeting comes in response to requests from the community,” stated KCCHC Director Connie Putnam. “We’ve found that while a number of agencies and organizations provide services, many people don’t know about them, or don’t know how to access them. We want to provide an opportunity for people to hear firsthand who is offering what, ask questions and pick up some information about available services.”

A panel of representatives from Maine Behavioral Healthcare, Sweetser, Sequel Youth Services, Pen Bay Medical Center, and the Knox Clinic will provide an overview of their services, any costs associated in receiving services and how to make an appointment.

KCCHC welcomes folks looking for services, case managers and providers, law enforcement, school personnel, healthcare personnel and other interested community members to attend.

The meeting starts at 5:00 PM; a light snack will be provided from 4:30 -5:00 PM.

For more information please contact Connie Putnam: c-putnam@myfairpoint.net or 236-6313, ext. 1.

RSVP is not required but appreciated.
