Study group to hear about opioid epidemic Oct. 18

Rockland — The Aquinas Group of St. Brendan the Navigator Parish hosts Dr. Ira Mandel and Rebekah Mandel, RN, with a presentation on the current drug epidemic and the community-wide efforts of the Knox County Recovery Coalition to fight the cause and effects of drug addiction in Knox County at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 150 Broadway, Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. Light snacks will be served starting at 6:30.

Author and teacher Ned Bachus will host this and the other Aquinas Group sessions, which are free and open to all.

The group meets monthly, usually on the third Tuesday, and the location rotates among the three churches in the parish: St. Bernard's, Our Lady of Good Hope in Camden and St. Francis' in Belfast.
