Student Services Coordinator for Region 8 MCST speaks to Kiwanis.

Mr. Bobby Deetjen, the Student Services Coordinator for the Region 8 Midcoast School of Technology [MCST] was the guest speaker at the Kiwanis meeting on November 12.  Deetjen, who started working at the school several months ago, gave an informative presentation about the course work available at MCST, and how the unique hands-on curriculum and programs are oriented towards uniform national standards that prepare students for academic success and qualified career placement.  The sending schools served by MCST are Camden Hills Regional; Islesboro Central School; Lincoln Academy; Medomak Valley; North Haven; Oceanside East; Oceanside West and Vinalhaven.  In the photo, Deetjen is seen with Kiwanis Club president Amy Pease of Union.  Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. FMI: rocklandkiwanis.org; and FMI on MCST,
