Story, movement workshop set
Rockland — Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St., will host movement artist Alexis Iammarino Monday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. in the first of three story and movement workshops titled Tell, Make, Move.
The workshop is for all ages; parents must accompany children younger than 12. Participants are invited to bring a burning question, an inquiry, an interest or hobby close to their hearts and together the group will approach ways to “un-pack” it through movement and text, using the library's collection as a creative resource and inspiration.
No prior experience in art or movement is needed. The other two sessions will be held Mondays, Dec. 3 and Jan. 7. The series is free, sponsored by the library and Friends of the Rockland Public Library. Special accommodations for persons with disabilities can be made with 48 hours notice by calling 594-0310.
