Stamps & Cards in the ArtLab
Rockport — The Center for Maine Contemporary Art, 162 Russell Ave., will offer an ArtLab for All Ages Workshop Saturday, Nov. 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. This is the third year for the popular Stamps & Cards workshop, during which participants create their own stamps and print a collection of handmade gift cards. The workshop is free and open to all. Materials will be provided.
Instructor for the workshop is Marcie Jan Bronstein, an artist, designer and teacher with a special interest in collaborating with children. She is known for her hand-colored images and work with the photographic negative; her art is exhibited and collected internationally. She is also the author of “Fotoplay!”, a prompt book for children.
ArtLab is made possible in part thanks to support from Camden National Bank, the Milton and Sally Avery Art Foundation; and individual donors. The Center for Maine Contemporary Art is a nonprofit organization advancing contemporary art in Maine through exhibitions and educational programs. Galleries are open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
