Spring has sprung in Rockport

Mar 17, 2014

Rockport — It must be spring because the Rockport Garden Club has returned to it's monthly meetings again.

The first meeting of 2014 will be held Thursday, April 3, at 1 p.m. at the Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St.

The guest speaker will be Lisa Colburn. She will share her stories of gardening in Maine. She has collected the wisdom and experience of gardeners from around Maine in her Maine Garden Journal, a book of practical gardening and beautiful illustrations. The program is free and open to the public and will run from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. at the lower level of the Rockport Opera House.

New members are always welcomed as well as donations to help in the beautification of Rockport and scholarships for those pursuing horticultural or environmental related degrees to Camden Hills Regional High School graduating seniors or adults.
