Rockport — The Camden Hills Regional High School Bands, under the direction of Nancy Rowe, will hold their annual Spring Concert Thursday, April 10, at 7 p.m. in the Strom Auditorium of the school, located off Route 90. Groups to be featured include the Camden Hills Concert and Jazz bands.

Senior trumpeter Aaron Nolan will be the featured soloist for the Concert Band’s rendition of “The Carnival of Venice.” The Jazz Band will perform “St. Thomas,” a work commissioned for the band by Portland arranger/composer Terry White. This piece is dedicated to senior band member Forest Priestley, who chose the tune and provided input into the arrangement.

Other Jazz Band soloists will include Tom Cox, Chandler Crans, Aaron Nolan, Paul Woodworth, Tristan Fong and Nick LeClerc. Eighth-grade students from Union No. 69 and Camden-Rockport Middle School will join the Concert Band for its final piece, “Torch of Valor” by Andy Balent. Admission to the concert is free.
