Camden — Spring arrives during the afternoon of March 20, and the Camden Public Library will celebrate the return of spring with a Spring Book Sale Saturday and Sunday, March 22 and 23.

“It’s more like a ‘We’re Hoping for Spring’ Book Sale,” said Ken Gross, assistant director at the library, “but unlike the weather, the book sale will be reliably cheery and full of terrific book bargains for you!” Saturday's book sale hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday hours are 1 to 4:30 p.m.

“We’ve been collecting books all winter and we’re eager to share them with you!” said Don White, leader of the library volunteers who run the book sale. “We have thousands of books for sale, with children’s and young adult books aplenty. Paperback books too, for every occasion. For our fiction lovers we have a title for you! We have a fine selection of Maine books, and plenty of CDs and DVDs too. Remember most of our hard bound books are only $2 each.”

The book sales benefit the library and support the book fund, programming, and children’s events.
