SPECTRUM GENERATIONS HONORS LOCAL VETERANS WITH A FREE LUNCH

In honor of Veteran’s Day, Spectrum Generations is offering a FREE lunch to our local heroes at three of its community centers in Central Maine. Each location has planned a program to pay tribute to those who have served our country.  The meal will be free for Veterans, but all are welcome at a very reasonable fee for a first rate meal. 

 “This is a very special day for our veterans, and we are honored to be able to recognize our service men and women in this small way,” states Gerard Queally, CEO, Spectrum Generations. 

Conrad Edwards, Veteran’s Advocate for the State of Maine, will be one of the guest speakers at Spectrum Generations Cohen Center’s Veteran’s luncheon being held on Friday, November 9th from 11a.m. to 12:30p.m.  Also speaking, Toast Master Grace Durgin on “Women in Service.”  The Cohen Center is located at 22 Town Farm Road in Hallowell.  Lunch is free for Veterans, $5.00 for guests age 60 and over, and $7.00 under age 60.  Advance reservations required.  Call 626-7777.

Colonel Michael Pooler, Deputy Chief of Staff, Personnel Maine Army National Guard will be the guest speaker at Spectrum Generations Muskie Center’s Veteran’s luncheon being held on Friday, November 9th from 11:30a.m. to 1p.m.  The Muskie Center is located at 38 Gold Street in Waterville.   Lunch is free for Veterans, guest $6.00 Advance reservations required.  Call 873-4745.

Philip Ogden, Director of the Maine Department of Veterans’ Affairs will be the guest speaker at a Veteran’s luncheon hosted by both Spectrum Generations Coastal Center and Camp Kieve/Wavus on Wednesday, November 14th from 11:00a.m. to 12:30p.m.  The luncheon will be located at the Kennedy Learning Center at 42 Kieve Road in Nobleboro.  Lunch is free for Veterans, guest $6.00.  Advance reservations required.  Call 563-1363
