Rockland — The Rockland Lodge of Elks 1008 held a fundraiser over the weekend of Oct. 14-16 at its headquarters on Rankin Street.

The event kicked off Oct. 14 with a burger night, and culminated with the spelling out of its mission on the floor Oct. 16.

Community members were encouraged to bring in whatever form of spare change or donation for the event they chose, with all proceeds going to support the Togus VA facility and its veterans.

Elks Exalted Ruler Barbara Guy said the amount raised was $1,300.
