South Thomaston selects Dill, Poliquin

Democrats in South Thomaston chose Cynthia Dill in the primary race for the U.S. Senate seat with 35 votes. Matthew Dunlap garnered 11 votes, Justin Benjamin Pollard received 5 and Jon Hinck earned 3.

Republican voters favored Bruce Poliquin with 29 votes in the GOP primary for the seat in the U.S. Senate. Charles Summers received 23 votes; William Schneider and Richard Bennett each earned 8 votes; Scott D’Amboise grabbed 5 votes; and Debra Plowman picked up 2.

In the Republican primary for the First District Congressional seat, Jonathan Courtney received 28 votes to Patrick Calder’s 21.

The town supported the RSU 13 school budget in a 85-70 vote.
