Cushing Community School and Thomaston's Lura Libby School students entertain during a recent holiday concert.

Under the direction of music teacher, Beverly Pacheco, and accompanied by pianist, Joanne Parker, students at Cushing Community and Lura Libby School performed in their annual holiday concerts on Dec. 18 and 19. This year’s concerts paralleled the school’s theme, “It’s A Small World” and featured songs from around the globe.

The kindergarten selections included "Feliz Navidad" and "I Have A Little Dreidel." First and second grades sang songs of holiday anticipation, including "Joy" and "A Russian Recipe." Third- and fourth-graders took a singing vacation to the British Isles; among their selections were "Here We Come A-Wassailing" and "Christmas in Killarney."
