All Day

Rockport Public Library joins libraries across the state by participating in ‘Snapshot Maine 2012 – Libraries Connect: People, Community, Jobs’ on October 17.

Every day, Maine libraries reach out to thousands of Mainers – students, adults, job-seekers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and countless others.

Snapshot Maine 2012 provides a way to capture the diversity of activities and learning made possible by libraries.

The library offers free computer access; free Wi-Fi, downloadable books and audio books for computers, Nooks, Kindles, iPads and more! In addition to online resources, the library offers great programs for children and adults, like an afternoon reading program or art class for children or poetry or writing workshop, our Booklover’s Café, and author book events.  People are turning to their local libraries more than ever before and all libraries continue to be a great community resource!

On Wednesday October 17, the Rockport Public Library is hosting a watercolor class, our after school reading program, the RPL Writer's Workshop and a spirited Mah-Jongg group.

Users of the Rockport Public Library are asked to drop by the library to share their thoughts about the library especially during Snapshot Day.

Snapshot 2012 is a project of the Maine State Library, Maine Library Association, the Maine Association of School Libraries and the Rockport Public Library.
