Six Weeks Until Election!

By Knox County Democratic Committee | Sep 25, 2012

Lawn signs may now be placed along highway rights-of way - and better yet – on supporters’ lawns, particularly on high visibility lawns.

At Democratic Headquarters at 66 Maverick Street in Rockland, we have lawn signs for most Democratic candidates on the ballot in mainland Knox County.  Maine candidates' signs are free; their campaigns pay for them.

We also have lawn signs and bumper stickers in support of President Obama and in support of “Yes on Ballot Question One” in favor of Marriage Equality.  There is a small charge for all of these.

These are the Democratic candidates that will be on the ballot in mainland Knox County:

Ed Mazurek for Maine Senate District 22 (all of Knox County except Friendship, Washington and Isle au Haut)

Chris Johnson for Maine Senate District 20 (Friendship and Washington in Knox County)

Elizabeth Dickerson for Maine House District 47 (Rockland and part of Owls Head)

Chuck Kruger for Maine House District 48 (St. George, Thomaston, South Thomaston, Matinicus, Criehaven and part of Owls Head.

Joan Welsh for Maine House District 28 (Camden and Rockport)

Lloyd Chase for Maine House District 44 (Appleton and Hope in Knox County and the Waldo County towns of Islesboro, Liberty, Morrill, Searsmont and Lincolnville)

Lisa Miller for Maine House District 52 (Washington in Knox County)

Roger Moody for District 3 County Commissioner (Appleton, Camden, Hope, Matinicus, North Haven, Washington and Vinalhaven)

Chellie Pingree for US House Maine District 1

Cynthia Dill for US Senate

Please show your support for these great candidates by picking up a lawn sign or two for your lawn.  Or, phone Headquarters at 594-0075 and arrange for a volunteer to bring you some.

Please return signs and wickets to Headquarters by November 11.  State law requires that signs be removed from public areas by one week after the election.  Election night November 6 – after the polls close – is not too soon to pick them up.  We reuse and recycle.
