Shelter to provide free transport to low cost spay, neuter clinic
As your community animal shelter part of our mission, in addition to caring for and placing unwanted and abandoned animals in loving homes, is to promote responsible pet ownership. To help facilitate that we are working in partnership with the Community Spay/Neuter Clinic of Freeport by hosting a free van transport for day surgery from the HSKC to their clinic. The clinic offers low cost spaying and neutering of pets to low income pet owners. The next transport is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 20. To learn more or to make an appointment and reserve a spot on the transport van for your pet call the clinic at 865-0772.
In addition, we will also be sponsoring a low cost Rabies Clinic on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Warren Fire Department on Western Road from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Dr. Craig Underhill from Warren Animal Hospital will be in attendance. The cost is only $10, cash only. Please bring your cats in a proper pet carrier and your dogs on a leash and last record of rabies shot if applicable.
Be a superhero by adopting a shelter pet and provide them with a loving home. It's never been easier to save a life.
