Southern Hospitality in Midcoast Maine
Rockland — The Monday Night Blues series continues Aug. 6 with Southern Hospitality at 7 p.m. at Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Admission will be $15. Eddie Shaw & The Wolf Gang, originally scheduled for the evening as well, will stop in for a fall gig instead.
Southern Hospitality features Damon Fowler, J.P. Soars and Victor Wainwright, friends and musical colleagues working towards the same goal — to leave no corner of the blues unexplored and no fan of the blues unhappy. Their cohesive approach blends all the genre’s traditions, mixing Delta blues, Memphis soul, boogie-woogie and funky grooves.
Upcoming in the weekly series are: Aug. 13, Kenny Neal ($15); Aug. 20, Candye Kane ($15); Aug. 27, Marquise Knox ($10); Sept. 10, Kirsten Thien ($10); and Sept. 17, Rev Raven & The Chain Smoking Altar Boys ($10). There will be no show on Labor Day. For more information, visit the Time Out Pub Blues link at northatlanticbluesfestival.com.
