Shannon Kinney to speak at Maine Press Association Fall Conference
FREEPORT, Maine: October 13, 2012, Shannon Kinney, Founder and Client Success Officer of Dream Local Digital will be presenting "What Would Google Do" for the Publishing Industry to the Maine Press Association's Fall Conference. This presentation will examine disruptive business models for the publishing industry based on the popular book What Would Google Do by Jeff Jarvis, offering innovative ideas and examining case studies that will help attendees embrace the new social, local, mobile world to help them transform their businesses for the future. Kinney will review the impact of the Internet and social media on news gathering, media consumption and marketing and offer recommendations for developing deeper relationships with their audience while gaining more revenue.
“As the newspaper industry experiences significant flux, the time is now to be bold and review disruptive models that shift the business,” Kinney shared, “I’ve spent more than seventeen years working with the industry to leverage new digital models and am looking forward to discussing these topics with industry leaders from the Maine Press Association”.
