If you haven't been to a meeting lately, here's what you missed! Wood Chop School founder and executive director Seth Silverton was the featured speaker at the Kiwanis meeting on February 4th at the Samoset Resort in Rockport.  Located in Lincolnville, the Wood Chop School is dedicated to educating its students to create sustainability through local sourcing of food, and self-reliance in order to reduce the need for out-of-state and out-of-country produce.  Kiwanis president Amy Pease of Union is shown shaking hands with Silverton at the end of his presentation.  Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
