Seth Meyer and MRC receive top recognition from The Maine Tennis Association.

Mid-Coast Recreation Center, Inc. is pleased to announce that Seth Meyer, Co-Executive Director,  Sports and Programming, has been named Tournament Director of the Year for the second consecutive year by the Maine Tennis Association. In addition, MRC was recognized as the 2013 Indoor Club of the Year.

The Maine Tennis Association Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony took place Saturday, January 25, 2014, at The Racket & Fitness Center in Portland.

Seth has been working as a full time tennis professional for 14 years. He is a native of Augusta, Maine where he played for a state championship high school team at Cony High School. He furthered his education with a BA from the University of Maine. Upon graduation, Seth moved to Oregon and was a full time teaching pro at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center in Beaverton, OR where he coached in many capacities, including high level juniors. Seth, and his wife Erin, moved back to Maine in the spring of 2005. He was hired as the Tennis Director and Head Pro at MRC that fall.

MRC is a non-profit for a healthier community, with no membership fees and financial assistance is available.
