Audio begins on May 06, 2014 at 2:00 pm EDT.

If you're feeling discouraged because of some lingering physical, financial, or other trouble, there is a solution—to persist in turning to God for help through prayer. The Bible says to "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.” (Colossians 4:2) The Scriptures reveal that God is all-powerful and entirely good, and prayer that's based on this understanding can turn things around and bring healing. God never abandons us, and His power is more than sufficient to care for our every need.

Join Christian Science practitioner Ken Girard as he answers questions in a live Sentinel chat on this topic. He'll explore what the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy tells us about our true spiritual nature and how understanding this helps us not only to persist in times of trouble, but brings healing.

About Ken Girard: Ken is a Christian Science practitioner listed in The Christian Science Journal since 2006. From 2008 to 2012, he served The Mother Church as Christian Science Committee on Publication for Massachusetts. He has also been a regular contributor to the Church’s magazines and radio programs.

Prior to entering the full-time healing practice, Ken had a career for over 30 years as a professional composer, pianist, and teacher of classical music holding degrees from The New England Conservatory of Music. He first encountered Christian Science in 1990 and within two years became a member of The Mother Church and took class instruction in Christian Science—both of which were life-changing events. Ken’s also an avid cyclist, who enjoys the wealth of vistas available from the roads of New England.
