Tim Robbins and Sarah Polley star in “The Secret Life of Words.”

Rockland — Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St., will screen “The Secret Life of Words” Thursday, April 10, at 6 p.m., hosted by local film buff Erica Pfander.

A hearing-impaired factory worker gives up her first holiday in years and instead travels out to an oil rig, where she cares for a man suffering from severe burns. “The Secret Life of Words,” starring Sarah Polley and Tim Robbins, is a moving story about discovering love and hope when least expected.

Screenings are in the downstairs Friends Community Room. Admission is free. Handicapped accommodations are available with 48-hours notice by calling 594-0310.
