Sebrey wins raffle at Pen Bay Healthy Living Festival
Rockland — Georges River Land Trust announces Aleah Sebrey of Union as the winner of the Leki Walking Stick raffle from the Pen Bay Medical Center’s Healthy Living Festival on Sept. 14.
"Winning the walking stick made her day," said Leann Sebrey of Union. Her daughter Aleah won the walking stick donated by Maine Sport Outfitters of Camden from the Land Trust's booth at the Healthy Living Festival.
Aleah is already an enthusiastic hiker who has favorite trails in Union, Appleton, and the White Islands. Her love of outdoors, and the walking stick itself, inspired several young attendees to join land trust volunteer Kit Pfeiffer in exploring trails on the Pen Bay campus.
Young and older hikers alike can explore more than 45 miles of trails from Frye Mountain in Montville to St. George by going to georgesriver.org to download printable maps or by picking up guides at the Georges River Land Trust office at 8 North Main St., Rockland (second floor above the Free Press).
