Monday, January 20, the Town Offices will be closed in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Tuesday, January 21, starting at 7 p.m., the regular meeting of the Selectmen will take place in the Town Hall. This meeting will be televised.
Thursday, January 23, starting at 7 p.m., the Budget Advisory Committee will meet to go over the requests from outside agencies. The Selectmen usually join in this meeting but have a workshop scheduled with the Stockton Springs Selectmen and will review the outside requests later. This meeting will be televised.
WORKS Bookstore will host a special Knit & Spin Day on Sunday, January 26 from 2 - 4 p.m. Composer and fiddler Hope Hoffman will perform melodic, traditional tunes on her fiddle to accompany the knitters and spinners. Just plain toe-tappers are welcome as well. Plenty of seating and parking. Let's push January out with great music and camaraderie!
$5.00 per person. Refreshments will be available for a small donation.

The 1-19-14 Belfast Education Think Tank Meeting is being shown on Searsport Channel 2 at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, and Saturdays starting 1-14-14. This is not a RSU 20 meeting.
Saturday, February 8, from 1 to 3 p.m., the Annual Chocolate Fest will be held at the First Congregational Church in Searsport to benefit the Ministerium's Interfaith Fuel Fund.
Monday, February 10, starting at 7 p.m., the Town of Searsport will be holding a Public Hearing at the Town Office to hear comments on a revised Adult Entertainment Establishment Ordinance and any changes proposed for the Land Use Ordinance and other ordinances to be heard at the annual town meeting.
