This exhibit explores how Mainers worked and played in the harsher winters of our past. It showcases Penobscot Marine Museum’s collection of beautiful 19th century quilts, winter clothing, fiber art tools and crafts, toys, sports equipment, and historic photographs. This exhibit is co-curated by members of the Friendship Sampler Quilters chapter of the Pine Tree Quilters, and includes quilts by their members.
We will have ice boats on display on the Museum crescent, and activities inside the Museum Gallery and Store.
