Savage Oakes sets summer date for Nash
Union — Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery’s popular summer concert series will include An Evening with Graham Nash in July; tickets go on sale Friday, April 21.
Nash will share an intimate evening of songs and stories Thursday, July 20, at 7:30 p.m. The Savage Oakes music venue offers an intimate outdoor concert experience, and food and a wide variety of Maine craft beverages will be served.
Tickets, $56 in advance, are festival-style general admission with guests invited to bring along lawn chairs and blankets. For more information and to purchase tickets, call 785-2828 or visit savageoakes.com. Savage Oakes is located at 175 Barrett Hill Road, a third of a mile off Route 17.
Nash is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee — with Crosby, Stills, and Nash; and with The Hollies. He also was inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame twice, as a solo artist and with CSN; and he is a Grammy Award winner.
Towering above everything the legendary artist has accomplished in his first 75 years on this planet, are songs has written and introduced to the soundtrack of the past half-century. His remarkable body of work, beginning with his contributions to the Hollies opus from 1964 to ‘68, include “Stop Stop Stop,” “Pay You Back With Interest,” “On A Carousel,” “Carrie Anne,” “King Midas In Reverse” and “Jennifer Eccles.” They continue all the way to 2016’s “This Path Tonight,” his most recent solo album.
While continually building his musical legacy, Nash also is an internationally renowned photographer and visual artist. His passionate voice continues to be heard in support of peace, and social and environmental justice.
