Sabaka — Curran wedding
Sandie Sabaka and Brendan Curran of Hope were married Sept. 15, 2012, at Katahdin Stream campground in Baxter State Park.
They met in the fall of 2007 in Baxter State Park where Brendan has been a seasonal park ranger for 24 years. Sandie currently works as a seasonal park ranger at Camden Hills State Park. They reside in Hope.
They were married by a fellow retired park ranger, Levi Walton of Thomaston. Friend Phil Poirier played guitar and sang two songs, and Paul Haley read from Thoreau's "Maine Woods."
The wedding was witnessed by 40 close friends and family in the shadow of Maine's greatest mountain, Katahdin. A dinner reception followed at River Driver's restaurant on Millinocket Lake.
The couple spent two weeks honeymooning in Newfoundland and Labrador.
