Waldoboro — A seat on the Regional School Unit 40 Board of Directors that was filled Nov. 12 is now vacant again.

Waldoboro resident Hans Nicholaisen resigned via email to board chairman Danny Jackson Dec. 12 — without attending a single meeting.

Nicholaisen cited frustration in the lack of cooperation by administration and fellow board members, according to an email from him Dec. 5.

The two Waldoboro seats on the RSU 40 board had been vacant for several months following the resignations of Darrell Goldrup and Christopher Duffy earlier this year. Then on Nov. 26, former Senator and State Rep. Dana Dow was reappointed to the board.

The term runs until June 2014, when the next municipal election takes place.

RSU 40 is comprised of Friendship, Union, Waldoboro, Warren and Washington.
