RSU 40 calls emergency meetingUpdated
Union — Regional School Unit 40 held an emergency Board of Directors meeting May 29 to address incorrect numbers approved in Article 13 at the May 27 district budget meeting.
Article 13 deals with the town assessment and breakdown of the RSU 40 budget.
The board met to cancel the Budget Validation Referendum currently in place for Tuesday, June 10.
The board also approved warrants for Corrective Budget Meeting for Article 13 on Thursday, June 12 at Medomak Valley High School gymnasium at 7 p.m., and warrants for a new Budget Validation Referendum on Wednesday, June 18.
Polls will be open as follows: Friendship, town office, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Union, town office, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Waldoboro, town office, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Warren, town office, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Washington, Gibbs Library, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
